Association of Municipalities and Towns of Slovenia, together with a consortium of partners, aims to help Basra Governorate in Iraq strengthen its capacity in the field of youth employment by enabling knowledge sharing and peer-to-peer collaboration with Slovenian municipalities.

About the project

Collaboration between Governorate of Basra and Slovenian partners is focused on creation of employment opportunities for youth and knowledge sharing. Empowerment of local government is crucial in providing effective and transparent public services. Slovenian municipalities are sharing their lessons learnt in providing public services related to the topic, while consortium partners will work with Basra Governorate in exploring models and mechanisms of capacity building that will further help provide brighter future for Basra`s youth.

Good practices educational videos

Apart from capacity building training, educational videos were created. They are going to be used as a training tool for project participants from Basra, who will later help creating youth employment opportunities. The focus of the training videos are good practices from Slovenia in the field of employment, with special focus on youth and women. The videos are mirroring the exact needs of Basra governorate, which were identified throughout the project activities.
